Purpose
Sierra Warren Developments, LLC is an ethical AI, development, and advanced technology firm committed to building systems that are technically rigorous, socially responsible, secure, traceable, and appropriate for their operating environments.
This Code reflects the reality that engineering responsibility is distributed across individual practitioners, firms, institutional leaders, clients, and regulatory bodies. Those responsibilities may overlap or conflict, but none may be ignored when a system creates foreseeable public, operational, environmental, or institutional risk.
The Code also protects architectural integrity: the principle that sophisticated technical work must not be reduced to superficial imitation, detached from its safety requirements, stripped of authorship, or adopted without the capacity necessary to operate it responsibly.
It applies to employees, contractors, collaborators, research partners, vendors, clients, and any person representing Sierra Warren Developments, LLC.
1. Public Interest Before Technical Novelty
SWD will develop technology only where its intended use has a legitimate purpose and a defensible relationship to human, institutional, environmental, or public benefit.
The company will:
Evaluate foreseeable benefits, burdens, risks, and affected populations.
Consider consequences beyond the immediate client or deployment environment.
Reject projects primarily intended to deceive, exploit, unlawfully surveil, discriminate against, manipulate, or endanger people.

The fact that a system can be built does not establish that it should be built.

13. Technical Quality and Engineering Discipline
SWD is responsible for the reliability, maintainability, and defensibility of the systems it produces.
The company will:

20. Governance, Review, and Enforcement
